Smiling?

One of the issues stated by one of the minister a few days back was the issue over us Malaysians smiling. Should we smile more? Pros and cons of smiling?

The thing is, if we smile too much, people will think that we’re crazy. I mean its normal to smile because i always do without fail. There were people telling me my smile was horny many times already. What would people think if u suddenly go smiling at them huh? What if a weird guy suddenly smiles at u? What would u feel? The minister definitely never think before he speaks. One hand they want to seperate guys and girls in the LRT and stuff, the next is they want people to smile at each other. What if girls smile at guys? What would u guys out there think? Does she like me? Is she smiling at me? The thing is the guy surely tergoda wan. WAhhh.. theres a girl smiling at me… This will generate the guy’s hormones and people’s feelings’ will get hurt. I think its rather dumb for the minister to tell the newspaper about the issue because i am definitely sure that foreigners who come to Malaysia too read the newspapers. What would they think of us? We must act differently just because its the Tourism Malaysia year? I mean they come here, we should just be the same, plain old malaysians. What do we need to prove? We’re friendly like westeners? Are they all really friendly? How are we suppose to smile to everyone who smiles at us? Im sure you meet a lot of people in a day, in public transports, in shopping malls, in school, everywhere you go, you see people. The goverment should just pay Daniel Tan to smile and take his picture and post it up everywhere…

okayokay but honestly it’s weird to walk around the streets of Malaysia and have people smiling at you. IT IS.
Malaysians just aren’t as polite and friendly as the people in other countries.
oh wells, i just pray one day we’ll be as good as singapore :)

Wow, that’s crazy, are there really no other important issues for the country to worry about other than people smiling?!

thats the thing. i mean its kinda weird if like someone suddenly just smiles but no doubt its great and signifies friendliness la but in this country…it will take a drastic change in malaysians.

  6. Levine Says:

    Kay, first things first.

“Smile and the world smiles at you”.
Basically (sorry if i offend you), this pretty much sums up your immature mind because you’re referring to people’s feelings and what you seem to make out as triggering estrogen when someone smiles at you.

Listen. Its just a smile. If you can’t tell the difference between a smile and a flirtatious look, you probably fail in life. I’m not saying you already do, but do stop your childish rantings when there isn’t much need for stupidity in our already deteriorating society.

You shouldn’t expect our government to be perfect when it comes to these things. Infact, I’m praising the minister for saying things like this because he’s being observant and he actually cares to do little things like reminding everyone to be friendly. Generally smiling at people does alot of good. A smile might have brighten up someone’s day.

Its people like YOU that makes a politician’s life hard. Do this make noise, do that make noise. Pay increase for civil servants make noise. Smiling at tourist and be friendly, make noise. Holy fuck dude grow the fuck up and look at the big picture.

People like you makes people like me feel like a complete retard. I don’t understand how you, who is 17 can actually come up with shit like this. Honestly work on your common sense before picking up that addmaths book. You really lack basic general knowledge.

I’m still sorry if I offended you. (which I probably already did). But bear in mind, a mistake is an opportunity to learn. So learn to be more intellectually stimulating when referring to subjects like this. You would piss more than another 17 year old if you do it again.

    Bai.

haahahaha. anyway i think the way to smile is to close ur mouth when u do it. like this, no one will think ur horny. i closed-mouth smile is actually a friendly gesture cos it looks so sweet. dun ya think so?

i’m sorry but in certain ways, i gotta agree with D – i don’t see anything wrong with smiling at people either. a simple smile evokes friendliness and i don’t see why it’s a problem about the government if they’re just encouraging the community to be friendly

  11. Ren Says:

YEALA I KNOW. just wait till it hits u la okay…althou i do always smile but then SOME people might think differently la u know. even in the farking LRT also ppl complaining that they get touched etc etc

  12. Ren Says:

you see…we as malaysians have different kind of thoughts and thats good because its better to have many opinions than just one because then we’re all like special and unique…at least i spoke my mind about whats happening around us…and probably i made daniel think? i agree with u daniel, partially that is.

    lol dude, guess me.. xD
Well bro, I’ve gotta say you don’t actually smile to EVERYONE you meet wherever you go. Just like smile to someone you’re communicating. It’s like you’re buying a ticket from the LRT ticket counter, give them a smile or something as approval or a silent “thank”. Anyway, there are rates of smilling, where some smiles turn out to be grins (that’s ridiculous). Following up, I think smilling is good actually. It helps people ease their mind at times, I think. For my case, I’d be glad if people smile at me, because most of the times, I do smile at strangers, giving approval that I’m might be your potential friend in coming times (well not neccesarily). But ren aka stylo, it’s good that you have your own opinion, which makes us all different =) no harm done, instead a job well done on your sweet blog. till then bro!
